WELCOME TO THE SUN INN

The Sun Inn isn't your average pub. A Grade II listed coaching inn sitting in the heart of Ulverston, we've spent years turning this building into something worth talking about — a botanically decorated dining room, an underground live music venue called The Pit, and a beer garden that catches the sun all afternoon.

We have 20 rooms, from our newly refurbished boutique rooms with their own distinct personality and design, to comfortable, well-priced rooms for those who just want a brilliant base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District. Something for everyone, whatever your budget.

The food is bold, loaded and built for sharing. Think smash burgers, dirty fries, buttermilk chicken and sharing boards that take over the whole table. Wash it down with a cold draft Beavertown, Moretti or Cruz Campo, a glass from our wine list, or something from our cocktail menu.
